After many of us have spent countless hours T-spinning our ways to victory in Tetris 99, a few of us probably wondered a little about the game’s origins–aside from “It came from Russia when it was called the USSR.” Well, the feature film adaptation of that story is in the works, and now, the movie has a home.
The Tetris origins movie will land at Apple, according to The Hollywood Reporter. At the time of this writing, it is unknown as to when the film will debut, but the movie is now set to shoot in Scotland.
The film will follow the creation of the iconic game by Alexey Pajitnov the final years of the USSR. Jon S. Baird (Stan & Ollie) will direct the script written by Noah Pink (Genius), and the movie will be produced by Matthew Vaughn’s Marv.
