Best Black Friday 2020 PS5 And PS4 Deals: Games, PS Plus, And More

Though Black Friday deals have been available all month, most of the best gaming deals won’t arrive until next weekend. Luckily, retailers are revealing deals earlier than ever. Best Buy and GameStop have already unveiled full Black Friday 2020 ads, and there will be plenty of great deals for PS5 and PS4 owners to shop. We’ve gone through all the Black Friday ads and sales revealed so far and rounded up the very best Black Friday PS4 and PS5 deals you need to know about. We’ll continue to add to this list as more deals are revealed. Keep in mind most of these deals are upcoming–key start dates to know are below.

  • GameStop: Online deals for PS5 games kick off November 25 at 9 PM ET / 6 PM PT. In-store sales start November 27. GameStop’s Black Friday sale runs through November 29.
  • Best Buy: Online deals run from November 22 to November 29. You can head to your local Best Buy store to shop for deals November 27-29.
  • Walmart: November 25-29
  • Target: November 22-28

Though technically not part of an official Black Friday sale, this deal on PlayStation Plus is the best you’ll find. You can snag a one-year membership for $31, which is practically 50% off. If you’re a new PS5 owner, PS Plus is one of the first things you should buy. Not only does it grant access to online multiplayer, but you also get free games each month and more than a dozen hit PS4 games via the PS Plus Collection. The Last of Us Part II is one of the 2020’s biggest games. If you haven’t picked it up yet, you can snag it for its best price yet at Best Buy this Black Friday. And if you’re new to the post-apocalyptic action series, The Last of Us Remastered is included with the PS Plus Collection–that way you can play the original before diving into the excellent sequel at a great price.

Watch Dogs: Legion

$33 (was $60)

Watch Dogs: Legion just released at the end of October, but the PS5 version will already receive a steep discount at GameStop. You can snag the open-world adventure starring a group of trendy hackers for just $33. Legion is a great game, especially at this price. It earned an 8/10 in GameSpot’s Watch Dogs: Legion review.

Ghost of Tsushima

Ghost of Tsushima was the last major PS4 exclusive, and it made its moment count. The open-world samurai game oozes with style, features a compelling narrative, and offers an abundance of content. After finishing the lengthy single-player campaign, you can jump into the Legends online multiplayer mode, which was recently added as a free update. You can snag Ghost of Tsushima for its best price yet this Black Friday.

Days Gone

The sequel is rich in content and authentic to its predecessors while moving the series forward. Discounts have been rare since launching a couple of months back, but you can get it for a new low of $40 during Black Friday.

Resident Evil 3

The Resident Evil 3 remake will hit a new low price at Best Buy this Black Friday. At just $15, the remake is well worth the price, even though it’s a relatively short and inconsistent experience overall.

Marvel’s Avengers

Marvel’s Avengers hasn’t sold nearly as well as Square Enix probably expected, but the live service superhero game is still worth playing even if you just want to run through the main story. It’ll be on sale for only $27, which is the lowest price we’ve seen since Marvel’s Avengers launched in August.

Persona 5 Royal

Persona 5 Royal, an updated version of the 2017 JRPG with loads of new content, released earlier this year to critical acclaim. It earned a rare 10/10 in our Persona 5 Royal review. If you’re looking for a lengthy JRPG to play over winter, look no further, especially at this new low price.

Final Fantasy VII Remake

Given the nature of 2020, it’s actually kind of hard to believe Final Fantasy VII Remake released this year. Telling part one of the story, Final Fantasy VII Remake is as wonderful as you remember, even with a huge departure with regards to combat. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice was GameSpot’s game of the year last year thanks to its exquisite combat system and an enthralling world brought to life by acclaimed Japanese studio From Software. If you haven’t checked it out, you’ll be able to snag it for only $25.

Red Dead Redemption 2

Red Dead Redemption 2 was one of the most ambitious games released during the PS4’s lifecycle. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 is a simply fantastic remake of two truly iconic games. Vicarious Visions remained authentic to the originals while modernizing the controls and feel of the games. In short, the remake is certainly worthwhile for diehard fans of the series as well as newcomers. It earned a 9/10 in GameSpot’s Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 review.

Star Wars Squadrons

First-person shooter fans shouldn’t miss out on Doom Eternal, which will be discounted to its lowest price yet during Black Friday.
